Since blogging seems to be the latest and greatest way to share your thoughts, ideas, ramblings and most importantly, pictures in cyberspace with friends and family (everyone out there actually), I thought I would give it a try. So, this inaugural post is specifically designed to get my picture up so I can link to it in my profile (to the right).
The picture was actually taken on my birthday (August 5th) on board the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise in Honolulu. My beautiful wife surprised me with a sunset dinner cruise and I have to tell you, it was wonderful. We had drinks and Pupus (Hawaiian for appetizers) with the Captain on the top deck of the ship followed by a fantastic 7 course meal in the Super Nova room with amazing panoramic views of Waikiki, Diamond Head, and the sunset. I was blown away; my wife is the greatest! Anyway, this is my first post, more later.
Aloha…

Hey Roland, glad to hear you’re coming back. I love KC, but it ain’t Hawaii, I hope your readjustment to mainland life is short. By the way, I didn’t know your b-day was 8/5!!! That’s when my son, Matt was born. Keep the info coming. We’ll have to catch up when you come back. Of course, now that you’re coming back, Julie and I are planning a trip to Maui for this winter…

Hey, Kids!
Nothing like wiping out your list in one weekend! So where exactly is this donut bakery? Does TheBus stop there?
Only 28 days and we’ll be back! Can’t wait to see you and get in some quality time before Oct 15.
We’ll be checking in here almost daily until we leave Yellowstone, so let’s see some news!
Love,
Mom and Dad -
This was so nice to read.
Love you and see you at Christmas or before…
Love
Brenda and Hunter Simmons
