OK, OK, I know, it’s been more than a month since the last post and I apologize (see, pictures first, I know what’s important!) to Grammy & Papa and Grandma & Grandpa (and everyone else) for such a long delay. A lot has happened since my last entry, so here’s somewhat of a summary of where we are:
Tucker is showing the Army how it’s done. I think he can Army Crawl better than 99% of soldiers coming out of basic training. In fact, Julie recently offered his training services to the Army, but with regulations being what they are… he’s just a little too young.
Tanner is crawling (yep, crawling) around the house keeping up well with his “younger” brother’s Ranger skills. They get in giggle fits together all around the house now. I’ve had to install a gate at the top of our stairs and outlet protectors are in place. Next on the list are drawer and cabinet latches because they’re both exploring the kitchen (and everywhere else for that matter). Right now they’re fascinated with the stainless steel refrigerator/freezer and the handles on our TV armoire (about this, they are learning “No no” and “Don’t touch” very well). Tanner has learned there’s all kinds of neat stuff on top of tables and chairs and goes for it all every chance he gets. Tucker has discovered springy doorstops: Boing, boing, booooiiinnggg…. boing, boing booooiiiinnngg… boing, boing, booooiiiinnnggg…. (note to self: need to change those out too.)
Both Tanner and Tucker love to stand up (with Mommy or Daddy’s help for now) and this always results in more fits o’ the gigglin’ as they rock back and forth. There’s lots of giggling laughter around the house and not just from the boys. Mommy & Daddy sure are happy and the boys are just about the happiest go-luckiest kiddoes around! Honestly, I think they missed temper-tantrum class and skipped out on the crying seminar. I know, they’re only ten months old, there’s plenty of time for all that, but they really are wonderful, well tempered and well mannered little boys who just love to play, and laugh, and explore, (and giggle, did I mention they like to giggle!?). Julie and I keep telling ourselves how blessed we are. We thank God for these precious little boys everyday.
And little might be a little misleading. No, they’re not linebacker size yet, but well on their way. This is good because the Packers will need them in a few years! Don’t get me started on Brett Favre’s retirement… They’re growing like weeds and we’ve discovered the joy(!!!) of buying clothes for growing boys! They’re just over 10 months old wearing 12-18 month size clothes. Some 12 month stuff fits them but not much. Our hand-me-down boxes are filling up fast.
Right now, Tanner has a new upper front tooth coming in to match Tucker’s. They both have two bottom teeth for a total of 6 new teeth in the house. That leads us to their first tooth-brushing episodes a few weeks ago…

In February we had a great visit to Grandma & Grandpa’s house in Ohio where the boys met all their cousins for the first time. It was great to see them all together. I think the boys really enjoyed it too even though it was a lot more action than they’re used to. All in all they handled it well. They travel like troopers actually handling the 10-11 hour drive time to Ohio better than Julie and I. Of course, we drove all night and they slept the whole way. Next time I think they’ll drive while we sleep. What cop could give these cute little boys a ticket, huh? Of course, there is still the problem of reaching the pedals… or seeing over the dashboard… it’s all about teamwork though, right?
Well, we’re looking forward to Spring. Can’t wait to get the boys more time outside playing instead of sitting in front of the windows wishing they were outside playing. It’s still just too cold in these here parts for any serious outside time. Oh don’t get me wrong. they get out, but the lush green rebirth of Spring is just around the corner and there’s a BIG backyard to explore. Oh boy(s)!

Love the pictures and the videos. Brings back memories of when you kids were little. It’s so much fun for us to see you two enjoying all the pleasures of being parents. Love ya and can’t wait for more progress.
